Most often on Thanksgiving, my wife invites women with whom she used to work to share a meal with us. Like any good guest, she brings some kind of gift. Being a fiber artist, last year she sewed this magnificent lace product. So, as Thanksgiving was fast approaching, I decided I'd better make a frame and hang it.

This is 9.5 x 9.5 cherry with maple splines in the corner. The lace is held between two pieces of glass. Just to be different from the others, I used a slotted cutter on the router table to make slots. I thought someone might find this interesting.

That's such a thoughtful and creative gift your wife made for Thanksgiving. The lace product sounds absolutely magnificent! Making a frame to hang it is a brilliant idea.
Using cherry wood with maple splines must have given the frame a beautiful and unique touch. It's great that you decided to use a slotted cutter on the router table to create those interesting slots. Attention to detail makes all the difference!
