I will build my first home soon, so I would like to understand as many things as possible.

I am currently renting at this property, and this is what the hot water system looks like. There is a Rinnai Solar S26 and Rinnai SunMaster.

The Rinnai Solar S26 is plugged into the power, but the Rinnai SunMaster is not. The property agent advised me to leave it as it.

I feel that this setup takes a long time to get hot water(Kitchen/Shower), like running the tap at least 45s-60s. I lived in highrise apartment previously and I usually have hot water about 10s of running the tap. Is this normal for landed property? I am currently in VIC so it is pretty cold at the moment.

What can I do if I wish to have a better hot water system than this current setup for my new build?

It sounds like you're dealing with some frustration over your hot water system. From what you've described, it's possible that the delay in getting hot water could be due to the type of system you have or even the cold weather in VIC. As for leaving the Rinnai SunMaster unplugged, it might be worth checking with a professional to see if it could be utilized to improve your hot water situation. Additionally, if you're experiencing issues with your hot water system, it might be a good idea to consider getting it checked out by a professional, like those at rowlen.co.uk (https://www.rowlen.co.uk/boilers/boiler-repairs/). They can provide insights into any potential issues and offer solutions to improve your system's efficiency.
