Easy Way for a Beginner to Learn Poker

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie here and I wanted to really learn a lot more in this one. I would want to ask if there are some good or easy ways to learn poker for beginners like me? I wanted to really learn quickly and understand the strategies in order to really make things work out. I just hope for a response in here. Thanks!

I think the best way to start is to read some "classical" books. You can find some here: http://pokercrack.com/forums/23-Poke...s-and-Software
And then, when you will have a lot of questions - just post them here and I'm sure you will get the professional answers.

    Good luck!

Hi Haleylawrence i was watching a poker show last week and the same question was given to a very good poker pro.His reply was if you want to improve you have to work hard at poker. He said that this involves reading books, watching coaching videos and replaying hands after you have played a session of poker.

He suggested that for every three hours you play then you should study for an hour,i am finding this a bit difficult to do as i want to play more, let us know how you get on in your poker journey.

Hello I am a beginner as well and I am playing Android Poker for fun on a real money poker room.

After how long should I start paying for real money rather than for fun?

I will check the books you recommended, but I was wondering, when do you really feel sure about playing for real money?
And what do you think about Mobile poker?

    Cheers

Once you have a basic understanding of how to play a particular game and what to do, playing for play money can really be counterproductive. People do not play the way they would in a real game since they are not risking anything. I'd suggest playing for very small stakes, even micro $0.02-$0.04 games, as soon as you think you understand the game. You may lose often in the beginning but at least you'll be getting more realistic experience. Another alternative is to play freeroll tournaments. While most people still play much looser than they would in real tournaments or cash games, most play a little better than in play money games.

That website is not in English, so other members who's not from Lithuania can't understand what it says in it lol.
